How to Check-In

Here is all you need to know about the check-in & check-out process at the Melior

Reservation Email

Open the automated email confirmation sent to the email address entered upon booking.

Scan QR Code

Locate the QR code in the email and place it under the QR scanner as shown in the adjacent image.

Collect Card

Your room key card will be issued at the kiosk once the QR code has been successfully scanned. Your room number shall be displayed on the QR panel but is also is included in the confirmation email you received.

Check-Out

On the day of check-out, kindly leave your room by 11:00 & return your room key card to the key card box as shown in the adjacent image.

Important Notice: Please note that your key card will not work after check-out time (11:00).

Wake up to the smell of coffee!
Head down to enjoy your breakfast at the Starbucks Reserve Bar. Simply present your Melior Room Key Card to one of our Starbucks Baristas and indicate your room number. Our Baristas will then confirm and prepare your pre-purchased breakfast option.

Should you have not have pre-purchased your breakfast, we welcome you to start your day by enjoying one of Starbucks Reserve’s speciality coffee blends and a tasty bite to eat.

City Gate

The ‘Bieb il-Belt’, or as it is also known, the City Gate, was historically the main entrance to the capital. Originally, the gate was built in 1569 by order of the Grand Master Jean Parisot de Valette. It was completely redesigned in 2014 by internationally acclaimed architect Renzo Piano

Triton Fountain

Guarding the entrance to Valletta, the Triton Fountain portraits three bronze Tritons holding a plate. The landmark was restored and re-inaugurated in January 2018, whereby the fountain transformed into a sprawling piazza.

St John’s Cathedral

St John’s Co-Cathedral is a prominent building in Valletta. It was completed in 1577 and is one of the finest examples of Baroque art in Europe.

Upper Barakka Gardens

Located on one of the city’s defensive bastions, Upper Barrakka Gardens offers spectacular views of the Grand Harbour. It is Valletta’s most famous public space and was built in the 1560s.

Lower Barakka Gardens

This garden is located on the bastion above the entrance to the Grand Harbour and offers a magnificent view from the mouth of the harbour to Fort Ricasoli, the Bighi Palace, Fort St. Angelo and the creeks of Vittoriosa and Kalkara.

Fort St.Elmo

Fort St. Elmo played an important role in securing the victory of the Knights during the Great Siege of 1565. The fort was built in a strategic location to protect the city from Ottoman attacks during the eventful Great Siege of 1565, when the Ottoman Empire and the Order of Saint John faced off.

Valletta Waterfront

Located by the Valletta shoreline, the Valletta Waterfront houses an array 250-year-old warehouses built by the Grandmaster Pinto. In recent years they have been converted to restaurants, retail stores and recreational establishments. Here one can also find the Hard Rock Cafe & a Starbuck Coffeehouse.

Marsamxett Harbour

Historically also referred to as Marsamuscetto, is a natural harbour on the island. During World War II, the British used Marsamxett, specifically Manoel Island, as a submarine base. The harbour is generally more dedicated to recreational use than the Grand Harbour.

National Archeology Museum

The museum is housed in the impressive Auberge de Provence. It contains an exceptional collection of artifacts dating from the Neolithic period (5000 BC) to the Phoenician period (400 BC) in Malta. Highlights include the ‘Sleeping Lady’, the ‘Venus of Malta’ and bronze daggers.

National Library

The National Library of Malta, often known as the Bibliotheca, is a reference library in Republic Square, Valletta, Malta. It was founded by Grand Master Emmanuel de Rohan-Polduc in 1776 out of the collections of the knight Louis Guérin de Tencin

St. George’s Square

The square is the main square of Valletta and houses the Presidential Palace and other baroque and neoclassical buildings. Every last Friday of the month, one can see the Changing of the Guard as it takes place here.
